Sunday School at Loudon United Methodist Church

Sunday School classes meet at 10:00am on Sunday mornings.  Classes are available for different age groups and life experiences.

The Open Arms Cafe' is open during the Sunday School hour for those who are not involved in a class who may be waiting for a child, family, or friend and for anyone arriving early for the Traditional Service.  Snacks and drinks are provided.  Located in the Fellowship Hall.

Adults
Couples for Christ Class - a class for couples.  This class holds informed discussions of religious and social issues that face adults and families in today's society.  Topics are class-directed.  Located in the Church House.

Faith Builders Class - adult members.  This is a group that values discussions, thought provoking questions, and expressing your beliefs and opinions.  All are welcome.  Located on the Third floor.

Believers Class - adult men and women.  Each class is opened with prayer concerns and praises followed by a review, study and discussion of scripture.  They study scripture for answers to today's problems and are proactive in fellowship, outreach, a commitment to belief in our Church, and a strong commitment to Jesus Christ.  Located in the Church House.

Pioneers for Christ Class - women of all ages.  The emphasis is on Bible study, discussion and prayer.  A greeting card ministry and gifts to missions are emphasized.  The class enjoys a monthly pre-class social time and special occasion outings.  Located in the Library on the Main floor.

Aldersgate Class - senior ladies.  This class studies the International Sunday School Lessons and is taught by alternating teachers.  A devotion is presented by a class member each Sunday.  Located on the Main floor.

Men's Class - men of all ages.  This class values input from members and uses four teachers to study the International Sunday School Lessons.  Located in the Chapel on the Main floor.

SONrisers Class - for early risers meets from 8:00am to 8:45am (prior to Contemporary Worship Service).  Open discussion of scriptures as they relate to personal, community, church and world issues with emphasis on United Methodist beliefs and principles.  All adults are welcome.  Located in the Church House.

Youth and Children
A Nursery is available for infants and toddlers.  Sunday School lessons are provided for 2 year olds.  The nursery is located on the Ground floor.

Little Lambs Class - pre-school children starting at age 3.  Located on the Ground floor.

Rotation Sunday School - Kindergarten through 5th grade.  For more information on the programming schedule, visit the bulletin board opposite the Library or contact Adriance Guider, Sunday School Superintendent.  Located on the Third floor.

Junior High Class -  grades 6 through 8.  This class is actively involved in church projects and activities.  They read scriptures from the Bible that relate to everyday problems or youth and use discussion , brainstorming and group activities.  Located on the Third floor.

Senior High Class - grades 9 through 12.  Class discussions revolve around religion and everyday problems.  Class members practice having an open mind while clinging to their Christian roots.  Located on the Third floor.
